It’s the best time of year for thrills and chills, so Get Licked! is bringing you classes on skills that terrify and delight. From needle phobias and blood splatter to inner insecurities and fear as a training tool, this series offers tools for creating, confronting, and moving through terror and disgust in our play. This series is intended for students with a solid grasp of consent, negotiation, and BDSM basics, especially those who:
enjoy the thrill of being scared (or scaring a partner) and want to explore it
want to bring a touch of horror or mad science into their scenes
find facing fear exciting and intimate and want tools for doing so intentionally
are nervous about needles and blood but want to give them a try
These classes work well as a set, but you can enjoy them separately! Each class is sliding scale, and you get a discount when you sign up for the full series.

Wide Eyes & a Scream: Adding Fear to Play
— with Sasquatch
Sunday September 13 at 7–9pm ET / 4–6pm PT
When carefully applied, fear can elevate many of the brain chemicals that bottoms enjoy in scenes; when haphazardly applied, it can be the reason a bottom never again says “yes” to that top. Broadly speaking, there are three levels of fear in a scene: laughing and smiling throughout; screaming and/or begging as if your top is an axe-murderer; and the endless world of possibilities between! Let's discuss that in-between spectrum by examining tools and techniques to encourage an enthusiastic “YES!” to the next offer to be afraid.
About the instructor: Sasquatch (he/him) identifies as a queer polyamorist with invisible disabilities, and a heavy switch for play. He began experimenting with fear play as just another sensation but quickly discovered a craving for more. Sas credits the start of his kink journey and knowledge to Black Rose in Washington, DC, and pays it forward whenever possible by presenting and demoing at events, hosting a monthly newbie class, and simply chatting with folks. Outside of the DC kink community, he is frequently found volunteering and proving that you're never too old to be a gamer nerd.

Conditioning Fear: When Aversion Becomes Structure
— with Aidan Sunassee
Sunday September 27 at 3–5pm ET / 12–2pm PT
Please note: This class meets earlier than our usual time!
This class builds on classical/operant conditioning principles — that is, tools for modifying behavior — to look at fear as something that can be intentionally built into a dynamic, rather than only summoned scene-to-scene. We’ll learn how fear responses get conditioned through repeated pairing (a cue, a tone, a specific kind of silence) and what separates a fear response that stays contained and erotic from one that generalizes past the scene and into the relationship itself.
Practical content includes designing fear cues deliberately instead of letting them form by accident, recognizing early signs that a conditioned fear response is bleeding into baseline anxiety, and building in the crucial deconditioning or “off switch” work that almost nobody talks about — since most conditioning content assumes you only ever want to build the response, not know how to unwind it if it stops serving the dynamic.
About the instructor: Aidan Sunassee (he/him) is a certified sexologist, sexuality educator, consultant, and researcher. With roots in our community and a background in psychology and trauma studies, he blends research with lived experience as he shares his experiences as a Dominant via his project Dominant Discourse. His work focuses on making complex ideas more accessible and centering the voices and knowledge already present in the community.

Under Your Skin: Needle Play for the Nervous
— with citronics & Dagger
Sunday October 4 at 7–9pm ET / 4–6pm PT
Sharps feeling scary? This class covers foundational skills for needle play, with a special focus on what many classes leave out: skills for both tops and bottoms who want to play with needles but struggle with fear, trauma, or intense physical reactions. We’ll learn physical and mental skills to make needle play earlier on the nervous system you have (not just the one you wish you had). citronics will share his own experience with needle-related trauma — and do live demonstrations with equally nervous needle bottom Dagger — to help you and your partners build safety tools and co-regulate through phobias, anxiety, and other challenges.
About the instructor: citronics (he/it) is a sadomasochist living in Brooklyn. He often finds himself in service to collaborative spaces for newer community members — from teaching classes and training dungeon monitors to helping newbies navigate their local communities — and he can't help but share what he's found along his leather journey. He's taught before and he'll do it again.

Blood, Sweat, & Fears: The Art & Thrill of Blood Play
— with Jamie Joy
Sunday October 11 at 7–9pm ET / 4–6pm PT
Enter into the visceral and intoxicating world of blood play, where sensation and surrender meet danger and transcendence. From the sharp kiss of spiked implements to the intimate precision of cutting and cupping, we’ll explore how pain, pleasure, and power bleed together. For those who crave the sting, the drip, and the rush— this space is for you. This class will cover safety essentials, techniques, and the dark, delicious creativity of drawing blood with intention. Whether you're a seasoned player or a curious explorer, come ready to revel in the exquisite agony of broken flesh.
Please note: This class includes a live demo not for the faint of heart! You do not have to watch the demo portion to learn from this class. All skill levels are welcome.
About the instructor: Jamie Joy (they/them) is a queer trans Jewish certified sex educator and hungry slut for freaky fantasies. Their life and work is committed to spreading joy, consent, and pleasure through community orgynizing. They have been educating on a wide range of topics related to sex and sexuality for the past 10+ years with experience in K-12 schools, health clinics, college campuses, adult sex shops, national conferences, BDSM dungeons, non-profits, community organizations, and more. Jamie Joy loves to stay up late, throw an unforgettable party, and teach people about the wonders of fisting and fire play. They are always excited to connect and collaborate.

Monsterfucking for Monsters: Scene Building for Monsters & Monster Enthusiasts — with Nyxie Noc
Sunday October 18 at 7–9pm ET / 4–6pm PT
This class is not about playing with monsters — it is about becoming one. Monsterfucking for Monsters is designed for anyone who wants to embody their inner creature and bring the fantasy of monstrous play into their kink. Together we will explore why monsterfucking is so alluring and how to channel that energy into intentional, immersive scene building. Students will use RPG-inspired worksheets to craft their monster personas, learn where to find accessories and accoutrements to transform their bodies, and discover ways to integrate shifters, vampires, demons, sirens, tentacle beasts, aliens, and more into their play. This is a fun and informative workshop for all who crave the chance to step into the role of the monster itself — and make those fantasies a living, breathing reality.
About the instructor: Nyxie Noc (all pronouns) is a queer, disabled, genderfluid kink educator and presenter with more than 20 years of experience in the kink community. Their work blends practical skills, humor, curiosity, and care, with a focus on creating more equitable, accessible, and consent-centered communities. Nyx has presented at Kinky College, TESFest, Boundless Retreat, DomCon LA, and other major kink and leather events, and appeared on Midori’s Consent Dojo.
